The 16th annual Lincoln-Way West winter baseball camp is scheduled for December 21-23, offering sessions for students in grades 1 through 8. The event will be held at Lincoln-Way West High School.
Participants have the option to enroll in either an offensive and defensive skills camp or a pitching and catching camp. The skills camp will cover offensive philosophy, approach to hitting, hitting stations and evaluations, as well as infield, outfield, and base running drills. Defensive philosophy and drill stations are also included.
The pitching and catching camps are separate but run simultaneously. These camps will focus on pitching philosophy, mechanics breakdown, drill stations, evaluation, and catching fundamentals. Attendees of the catching camp are required to bring their own catcher's equipment.
Sessions for grades 1-4 will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., while grades 5-8 will attend from 1:45 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. The pitching and catching camps for all grades are set for 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
