Jenna Davis, a 2022 graduate of Lincoln-Way West High School, has been named the 2025 Student Lincoln Laureate for Columbia College Chicago. The award is given annually by the Lincoln Academy of Illinois to one senior from each four-year college and university in the state. Recipients are selected based on leadership, service to others, and positive contributions to their communities.
Davis, who is completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a minor in arts in healthcare at Columbia College Chicago, has demonstrated commitment to both art and service. She works in abstract painting, collage, and photography. After graduation, she plans to pursue a master's degree in art therapy with the goal of supporting mental health through creative expression.
During her time at Columbia College Chicago, Davis contributed significantly to campus life. In her first semester as part of the Student Government Association (SGA), she collaborated with the facilities team to create new recycling and garbage signage that improved sustainability efforts on campus. She also established an annual Earth Day Clean-Up event—now in its third year—and organized Columbia’s first Earth Day Symposium in 2024 featuring speakers on sustainability topics.
Currently serving her second term as SGA president, Davis represents over 4,000 students and works closely with college leaders on initiatives benefiting the student body. She is recognized for her empathetic leadership style and dedication to amplifying student voices.
“We are incredibly proud of Jenna and all she has accomplished,” said Dr. Ted Robbins, principal of Lincoln-Way West High School. “Her leadership, creativity, and compassion reflect the values we hope to inspire in all our students. This honor recognizes the many ways she is making a difference on her campus and beyond.”
