A dedicated U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, George was a member of the American Legion Post #615. During his professional life, he served for 33 years at Continental Can Company. Following retirement, he spent a decade driving seniors at the Victorian Village, embodying warmth and care for others. His involvement in his children's lives earned him the Father of the Year award in 1971.
George's love for sports and community was evident in his activities, including golfing, bowling, and supporting Chicago sports teams. With his open expression of feelings, he impacted all who knew him. His memory will be forever cherished by his siblings, nieces, and nephews. George's commitment to family and service will be held dear and remembered always.
Visitation for George will be held at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service and interment with full military honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. George's legacy of love, care, and dedication will continue to inspire those who knew him.
