Fred L. Monari, 75, of Lockport, Honorably Remembered for Military Service

Fred Louis Monari, aged 75, of Lockport, passed away unexpectedly. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Diane Monari, their children Alexander Monari and Alyssia Monari-Stoeberl, grandchildren, and siblings. Fred proudly served in the U.S. Army for over 20 years, including time with the Army Special Forces Green Berets. He received several distinctions, including the Purple Heart Medal.

After retiring from the Army, Fred worked as a Correctional Officer and enjoyed spending time with his family, sports, puzzles, cooking, the Chicago Bears, and Chevy trucks. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Visitation and a Funeral Service will be held at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, with interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.

Fred's contributions and dedication to his country and family will be cherished by all who knew him.
