Manhattan School District schedules special board meeting on June 2

The Manhattan School District 114 has scheduled a special board meeting for June 2, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Manhattan Junior High School located at 15414 West Smith Rd.

The agenda includes several key items, beginning with a call to order, roll call, and the Pledge of Allegiance. Following these formalities, the board will enter a closed session. During this session, they will discuss various personnel matters including "appointment, employment, compensation, evaluation, performance and/or dismissal of specific employees," as well as "pending litigation" and "risk management."

Action is anticipated once the board exits the closed session. Potential actions on the agenda include approving employment for certified and non-certified staff and administrative employees. There may also be amendments or approvals of administrative contracts.

Other possible actions include accepting resignations or retirements, transfers within the district, employee leaves of absence approvals, and postings for new positions across different categories.
