Students who plan to attend Lincoln-Way next fall and either attend a private or home school, or missed the PreACT 8/9 at their current school, are required to take the PreACT 8/9 assessment for placement. Lincoln-Way has announced three testing dates and locations for this purpose.
The assessment will be offered on Wednesday, November 19 at Lincoln-Way West High School at 9:00 am; Thursday, November 20 at Lincoln-Way Central High School at 5:00 pm; and Monday, November 24 at Lincoln-Way East High School at 9:00 am. Students may choose any of these options regardless of which campus they plan to attend.
According to the announcement, "Get a baseline for College & Career Readiness. Practice ACT-type questions and test format. Receive Lincoln-Way course recommendations in February, 2026. Begin high school course planning!"
The district notes that the assessment is intended for students currently attending private schools, those who are homeschooled, or those who missed the exam at their feeder middle school.
For additional information or questions regarding the assessment process, Dr. Tracey Miller, Director of Assessment & Instruction, can be contacted via email at tmiller@lw210.org.
