Russell Ragon Superintendent | Official Website

The Manhattan School District 114 Board of Education is set to hold a special meeting on December 18, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will take place at Manhattan Junior High located at 15414 Smith Road.

The agenda includes the call to order, roll call, and the Pledge of Allegiance. There will be an opportunity for public comment before the board enters a closed session. During this session, discussions will focus on various topics including "Appointment, Employment, Compensation, Evaluation, Performance and/or Dismissal of Specific Employees," as well as "Pending Litigation" and "Risk Management."

Upon returning from the closed session, the board may take action on several items. These include approving employment for certified and non-certified staff and administrative employees. They may also amend or approve administrative contracts and accept resignations or retirements. Additionally, they might address employee transfers, leaves of absence, postings for new positions across different categories, non-renewals of certified employees' contracts, disciplinary actions against certified employees, and dismissals of non-certified employees.

Furthermore, there could be approval for a vendor agreement.

The meeting is scheduled to adjourn after these discussions. The next regular board meeting is planned for January 8, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., also at Manhattan Junior High School.
