Sixteen student athletes from Lincoln-Way West High School have committed to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level following the school’s fall college signing day. The event, organized by the school’s athletic department, recognized students who will participate in a range of sports including softball, baseball, volleyball, bowling, soccer, and golf.
“We are thrilled for each of them as they take this exciting next step in their athletic and academic journeys,” stated the Lincoln-Way West athletic department.
The students and their college commitments are as follows: Abby Brueggmann (Softball, Saint Xavier University), Paige DeBella (Bowling, Lewis University), Reese Cusack (Softball, Seton Hill University), Molly Finn (Softball, Valparaiso University), Lily Goyer (Volleyball, University of North Carolina–Wilmington), Kate Kinsella (Soccer, University of Wisconsin–Platteville), Jessica Noga (Softball, Governors State University), Matthew Oberts (Baseball, University of Wisconsin–Platteville), Michael Pettit (Baseball, University of Notre Dame), Sydney Pohlmann (Golf, Elmhurst University), Reese Rourke (Softball, North Carolina State University), Sophia Rozga (Volleyball, Concord University), Paige Seivert (Softball, Milwaukee School of Engineering), Kellen Schulte (Baseball, Missouri Southern State University), Matthew Staniszewski (Baseball and Bowling, Joliet Junior College) and Kara Stigter (Volleyball, Murray State University).
The signing day marks an important milestone for these student athletes as they prepare to balance both academics and athletics at various colleges across the country.
