Manhattan School District 114 has announced updated bus routes for students, set to begin on September 15. The district has worked with LW210 Transportation to address ongoing transportation challenges and improve the timing and efficiency of school bus service.
The recent review focused on afternoon routes, which have experienced the most delays. Adjustments were made to several routes, including Routes A and F. Initial changes reduced delays on Route A but caused new issues on Route F. In response, an additional driver was assigned to Wilson Creek’s Route F, and further improvements are planned for Anna McDonald’s Route F.
LW210 Transportation also conducted a comprehensive review of bus stop locations using real-time GPS data. This effort aimed to align published times with actual school dismissal schedules and travel patterns. As a result, many families will see updated stop locations and times starting Monday, September 15. Families are advised to check PowerSchool for current transportation information.
“While the recent adjustments do not fully resolve all timing and efficiency concerns across the district, they mark an important step toward long-term improvements,” according to Manhattan School District 114. “The district will continue assessing route performance and implementing changes to better serve students and families.”
