Mary Frances Nichols, 58, Remembered for Her Love of Family, Faith, and Community

Mary Frances Nichols, 58, of Manhattan, passed away unexpectedly on August 23, 2025. Survived by husband Trevor Nichols, daughter Ella Nichols, siblings Patricia Dalen, James Gaskin, Leslie Perry, Gerald Gaskin, Terrence Gaskin, nieces, nephews, best friend Heidi Simpson, and numerous cousins. Preceded in death by parents James and Margaret Gaskin, sister Kathryn, and beloved dogs Kermi and Duncan.

Mary Frances was born and raised in Park Forest, graduated from Marian Catholic High School, and started her career at Ruan Transportation Management Systems. Devoted to her family, she took pride in her Irish heritage and Catholic faith, enjoying sports, travel, and social gatherings. Known for her organization and sense of humor, Mary Frances touched the lives of many with her positive spirit and laughter.

Visitation on August 28, 2025, 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, prayers on August 29, 2025, 9:30 a.m., followed by Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Manhattan, IL. Interment at Saint Joseph Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Forsythe Gould Funeral Home.
