Lincoln-Way Community High School District 210 will offer an adult woodworking class at Lincoln-Way West on April 12 and April 19. The class, running from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., marks the final offering for the year. Twelve spots are available, and participants must attend both sessions. The fee is $150, and it's non-refundable due to high demand.
Instructor Nick Schroder will lead the class. He has more than 20 years of experience in woodworking, having grown up in a furniture shop. "To register for the class, email Nick at nschroder@lw210.org," the announcement states.
"The class is open to anyone who is interested in exploring the basics of woodshop safety, power tools, woodworking machinery, sanding, finishing, and more," it continues. Participants need to be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma, and bring specific personal equipment. The class aims at beginners, offering tools and materials for building an Adirondack Chair.
