The Manhattan School District 114 will hold a Board of Education special meeting on March 26, 2025, at the Manhattan Junior High School. The meeting is scheduled to start at 6:30 PM.

The agenda includes several items for discussion and potential action. Among them are information regarding the School District 2024 Levy Extension for Fiscal Year 2026 and an action item concerning the Abatement of the 2024 Bond & Interest Levy Extension for FY26.

A closed session will take place to address various issues, including "appointment, employment, compensation, evaluation, performance and/or dismissal of specific employees," as well as matters related to "pending litigation" and "risk management." The board also plans to discuss collective bargaining topics during this session. It is noted that "action is expected to be taken when coming out of Closed Session."

Further actions may include decisions on employment across different staff categories such as certified, non-certified, and administrative positions. Other possible actions include amendments or approvals of administrative contracts, acceptance of resignations or retirements, transfers, employee leaves of absence approvals, postings for new positions, non-renewals of certified employees' contracts, disciplinary actions or dismissals for both certified and non-certified staff members. There is also an agenda item regarding the approval of a resolution authorizing the non-renewal of final year probationary teachers.

Additionally, there may be a decision on approving a vendor agreement during this meeting.
