Velma Louise Hibbs, 85, Remembered for Her Loving Spirit and Humor

Velma Louise Hibbs, aged 85, of Cookeville, TN, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 19, 1939, to Ernest and Roxie Hensley. Predeceased by her husband Eddie Hibbs and siblings Judy, Sue, and James, Louise is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and extended family.

Known for her resiliency as a cancer survivor, Louise had a love for card games, Jeopardy, and creating clothes for her family and dolls. She had a special knack for humor and a competitive spirit. A devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held on March 13, 2025, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, followed by a service on March 17, 2025, at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, with interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
