Board of Education schedules special meeting with closed session discussions

The Manhattan School District 114 Board of Education has scheduled a special meeting to be held on January 13, 2025. The meeting will commence at 5:00 p.m. at Manhattan Junior High, located at 15414 Smith Rd.

The agenda for the meeting includes the call to order, roll call, pledge of allegiance, and an opportunity for public comment. Following these items, the board will enter a closed session. During this session, they will discuss matters related to "appointment, employment, compensation, evaluation, performance and/or dismissal of specific employees," as well as issues concerning "specific individuals who serve as independent contractors," pending litigation, risk management, and collective bargaining.

It is noted that no action will be taken during this meeting. The board plans to adjourn after concluding the closed session discussions.

The next scheduled meeting of the Board of Education is set for January 15, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., again taking place at Manhattan Junior High School.
