Mr. Doug Ternik, the Athletic Director at Providence Catholic High School, announced that Gavin Hagan, a senior football player, will be joining Indiana State University on a scholarship to continue his athletic career. Ternik expressed pride in Hagan's accomplishments both academically and athletically, stating: “We are incredibly proud of this young athlete, who has demonstrated excellence not only in the classroom but also as a leader both academically and athletically. As he embarks on the next chapter of his life, we send our best wishes for continued success and look forward to following his achievements on and off the field.”

Hagan, hailing from Lockport and a graduate of Homer Junior High, intends to major in Business at Indiana State University. Over his four years with Providence Catholic's football team, Hagan earned several honors including being named All-Conference three times and receiving All-State recognition during his senior year. He was also recognized for his leadership skills, being named Chicago Catholic League (CCL) Defensive Player of the Year as a junior and CCL Offensive Player of the Year as a senior.

Reflecting on his journey so far, Hagan remarked: “Providence has prepared me for everything that is to come,” adding gratitude to those who supported him: “I would like to thank my family, friends, coaches, and trainers who have helped get to where I am today.”
