Providence Catholic High School in New Lenox, Illinois, has announced that 51 students from its class of 2025 have been recognized as Illinois State Scholars. This recognition is given annually by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) to high-achieving high school students across the state. The honored students represent 29% of this year's graduating class.

Principal Paul Houston expressed pride in the achievements of these students. "We are incredibly proud of these 51 students and their hard-earned recognition as Illinois State Scholars," he stated. He further emphasized their commitment to academic excellence and leadership potential, adding, "This achievement highlights their dedication to excellence in and out of the classroom."

The Illinois State Scholar program has been recognizing outstanding student performance since its inception in 1958. These awards are intended to honor academic achievement and encourage future success among young scholars.
