The Manhattan School District 114 has announced a special meeting of the Board of Education, scheduled for November 20, 2024. The meeting will take place at Manhattan Jr. High, located at 15414 Smith Rd., beginning at 6:00 p.m.
The agenda includes a roll call and the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by an opportunity for public comment. A closed session will be held to discuss matters related to "Appointment, Employment, Compensation, Evaluation, Performance and/or Dismissal of Specific Employees," as well as "Pending Litigation" and "Risk Management."
After the closed session, potential actions may be taken on several items. These include approving employment for certified and non-certified staff, administrative employees, amending or approving administrative contracts, accepting resignations or retirements, transfers, employee leaves of absence, posting positions for various roles, non-renewal of certified employees' contracts, disciplinary actions against certified employees and dismissal or disciplinary action concerning non-certified employees. Additionally, there might be action on approving a vendor agreement.
The meeting is set to adjourn following these discussions. The next board meeting is scheduled for December 11, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., also at Manhattan Junior High School.
