Enrollment Analysis: Hispanic students comprised 11.3% of Wilson Creek Elementary School’s student body in 2022-23 school year

There were 80 Hispanic students enrolled in Wilson Creek Elementary School in the 2022-23 school year, 42.9% more than the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

Data showed that the school welcomed 711 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 11.3% of the student body to be the second most represented ethnicity in the school.

Among the three schools in Manhattan School District 114, Wilson Creek Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 711 students.

Illinois registered one of the largest enrollment drops during the pandemic. Since 2020, the Prarie State lost nearly 118,000 students, further intensifying a decline trend established since 2013.
