Manhattan School District seeks bids for agricultural leases

Manhattan School District 114 is inviting bids for agricultural leases on district-owned land. The bidding process is open to individuals whose primary residence lies within the boundaries of Manhattan School District #114.

Bids must be submitted in a sealed format as specified in the bid specifications. The deadline for submission is November 1, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., with the opening of bids scheduled to occur immediately thereafter at the District Office located at 15646 W. Smith Road, Manhattan, IL 60442. Late submissions will not be considered and will be returned unopened. Bids sent via oral communication, telegraphy, telephone, email facsimile, or any other non-specified form will also not be accepted.

The Board of Education retains the right to reject any or all bids and may waive any informalities or irregularities deemed necessary. They will accept the bid that they believe serves the best interest of the school district. Once opened, no bid can be corrected or amended due to errors or miscalculations and cannot be withdrawn without consent from the Board after the closing time for submissions.

All submitted bids must remain valid for at least sixty days following the opening date. Interested parties can obtain a complete proposal package from the Superintendent's office during business hours from Monday through Friday without charge.
